Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week is a platform established by the Ministry of Trade through the Directorate General of National Export Developmet in collaboration with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin). The peak of this years’s JMFW will be held on October 20 until 22 in conjuction with the 37th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2022 at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Banten.
Based on data from The Central Statistic Agency (BPS), the export value of Muslim Fashion I the first semester of 2022 was recorded at USD 2,85 billion, increase from last year in the same period that USD 2,04 billion. However Indonesia still on 13th position of the world’s muslim fashion exporter under the Republic of China, Bangladesh and Vietnam. Indonesia’s potensial to increase the production and export of Muslim clothing is very big because Indonesia is the largest Muslim country with more than 230 million people.
ALTEK seeks to develop and collaborate with actors in Indonesia both form the private sector and or the public sector, to develop a healthy and successful innovation system in Indonesia. With that aim and vision, on 1st October 2022 ALTEK with the director of IFI (Islamic Fashion Institue) provide material briefing to Jakarta Muslim Fashion Week (JMFW) participant.
